Hearthstone Battlegrounds Unveils Upcoming Season 9 Expansion

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Chaos Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shakeup! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and brand-new features. Prepare for cosmic vibes, futuristic tech, and a completely overhauled minion lineup – it's like the Tavern had a major renovation!

Key Updates:

  • Bob's Technotavern Overhaul: Expect a significant upgrade to Bob's Tavern! Season 9 resets ratings and eliminates Trinkets, replacing them with exciting Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll a hero choice at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable options.

  • Staggered Minion and Hero Reveals: The new season's content is being unveiled gradually. Naga and Dragon reveals happened earlier, followed by Quilboar and Beast reveals on November 21st. Pirate and Duos-only reveals are on November 22nd, Murloc and Demon reveals on November 25th, and Elemental and Undead reveals on November 26th. Preview event streams and patch notes (31.2) drop December 2nd.

  • New Heroes and Minions: Three new heroes join the fray, with Farseer Nobundo already generating buzz with his Galaxy's Lens. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either entering or leaving the pools, dramatically altering gameplay.

  • Solo Battlegrounds Damage Cap Adjustment: A new damage cap is introduced for solo Battlegrounds: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

  • Phased Minion Release: The update officially launches December 3rd with Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs. Murlocs and Demons arrive December 5th, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
