InZOI will feature ghosts, an afterlife, and a karma system

by George Mar 16,2025

InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed intriguing details about the game's paranormal elements. Players will have limited control over ghosts, a mechanic linked to a unique karma system. This system tracks player actions, influencing not only their current lives but also their afterlife.

Good deeds may lead to peaceful passage, while negative actions could result in becoming a lingering ghost, requiring the accumulation of missing karma points to finally move on. Ghosts will be present in the early access version, though player control will be a later addition.

While emphasizing InZOI's focus on realism, Kim hinted at the potential for introducing other unexplained phenomena in future updates. The paranormal elements are carefully designed to complement the core gameplay, rather than overshadow it.
