Dogs are truly the best companions in video games, and *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is no exception. Mutt, Henry’s loyal dog, goes missing early in the story, but don't worry—here's how to reunite with him in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mutt Location
Locating Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* involves a dedicated side quest, but I can streamline your search. You can find Mutt near a wolf cave, situated southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river's bathing spot. Below is a screenshot to help you pinpoint his exact location.
The most efficient way to reach him is by fast-traveling to the Nomads’ Camp, then heading southwest into the forest. Follow the path out of the camp, and you'll likely end up on top of the cave. As you approach, listen for Mutt's whines, which will guide you closer to the source of the sound. You'll eventually discover Mutt and a few wolves in a clearing near the cave.
Approaching will trigger a cutscene where you encounter Mutt surrounded by wolves, accompanied by a tutorial on how to issue commands to Mutt during combat. You'll have the option to either confront the wolves or flee. In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, fighting wild animals like wolves isn't overly challenging, making it a great opportunity to hone your skills.
After handling the wolves, whether by fighting or fleeing, Mutt will be under your command. By holding L1 while looking at him, you can interact with him, feeding him from your inventory or sending him back to your home.
Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest
It's worth noting that you're likely to come across the wolf cave while engaged in the Invaders side quest, particularly if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After getting drunk with them, Henry will follow Vasko uphill to fetch more liquor, leading directly to the cave. This triggers the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, forcing you to either fight or flee while inebriated.
I strongly recommend rescuing Mutt during the day before proceeding with the Invaders quest. Attempting to manage the wolves while drunk and in the dark can be extremely challenging. Even if you opt to flee, poor visibility could lead to a fatal fall.
And that’s how you find Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and in-depth information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
