"Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon Announced as Sequel to Oceanhorn 2"

FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have unveiled an exciting new addition to the Oceanhorn series: Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. Set 200 years after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, this game introduces a fresh narrative and gameplay style, slated for release on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in Q2 2025.

What’s the Story in New Game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?

In a departure from the series' traditional sailing adventures, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon plunges players into the heart of a perilous underground labyrinth. Embracing a retro dungeon crawler vibe, the game unfolds in a world where the once-mighty Kingdom of Arcadia has fragmented into scattered islands, and the legendary White City is but a distant memory.

Amidst this backdrop, four determined adventurers set their sights on the enigmatic Chronos Dungeon, rumored to house the Paradigm Hourglass—an artifact capable of rewriting history. Their mission? To navigate the dungeon's treacherous depths, confront its lurking dangers, and harness the hourglass's power to restore their world to its former glory.

The developers have released an announcement trailer for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, which you can watch below.

What About the Features?

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon embraces a classic dungeon crawler format with a nostalgic 16-bit arcade aesthetic. Designed for couch co-op, it allows up to four players to collaborate in side-by-side action. If you're playing solo, you have the flexibility to control all four heroes or switch between them as you tackle various challenges.

Each playthrough promises a unique experience, as the heroes' starting stats are influenced by their zodiac signs. The game features four playable characters: Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage. Complementing the pixel art visuals is a chiptune-inspired soundtrack, enhancing the game's old-school arcade feel.
