The Adventure Week event is making a grand return to Pokémon GO in 2024, bringing with it a plethora of thrilling in-game rewards and activities. Following the excitement of July’s events, players are in for a treat with what’s lined up for this year's Adventure Week.
What’s In Store?
Mark your calendars for the Adventure Week in Pokémon GO, which kicks off on Friday, August 2nd at 10 am and concludes on Monday, August 12th. This event is all about Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon, offering numerous opportunities to catch these resilient and ancient creatures in the wild. They’ll also be available to hatch from 7 km Eggs and can be encountered through themed Field Research tasks.
A major highlight this year is the enhanced chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, particularly Shiny Aerodactyl. Other Rock-type Pokémon such as Diglett and Bunnelby will also be more common in the wild. If luck is on your side, you might just encounter an Aerodactyl during your adventures.
The 7 km Eggs are another exciting feature, hatching into Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. Completing the themed Field Research tasks not only gives you a chance to meet these Pokémon but also rewards you with Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.
During Adventure Week, spinning PokéStops will grant you double XP in Pokémon GO, with an incredible five times XP for the first spin of the day. If hatching Pokémon is your thing, you'll also earn double XP for that.
What Else Is New?
Adventure Week will also introduce new PokéStop Showcases and Collection Challenges, rewarding you with Stardust, encounters, and additional Mega Energy for Aerodactyl. Five-star raids featuring Moltres, Thundurus Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas will also be part of the event.
August’s Community Day will spotlight Poplio. Additionally, there will be a Classic Community Day and a special event for the Pokémon World Championship. Prepare for an adventurous week and ensure you have the game ready from the Google Play Store.
