Pokemon GO: Machop Max Battle Guide (Max Mondays)

Pokemon GO's Max Monday event on January 6th, 2025, features Machop! This one-hour event (6 PM to 7 PM local time) sees Machop appearing at all nearby Power Spots. This guide helps you prepare for this limited-time opportunity to add a Dynamax Machop to your collection.

Machop's Strengths and Weaknesses

Machop, a pure Fighting-type Pokémon, has predictable strengths and weaknesses. It resists Rock, Dark, and Bug-type attacks, but is vulnerable to Flying, Fairy, and Psychic-type moves. Remember this when selecting your Dynamax Pokémon.

Top Machop Counters

Max Battles restrict you to your owned Dynamax Pokémon. Here are some excellent choices:

• Beldum/Metang/Metagross: Their Psychic secondary typing provides a significant advantage, making them top contenders.

• Charizard: Its Flying secondary type gives it an edge against Machop, combined with its generally high power.

• Other Powerful Options: While lacking a type advantage, powerful fully evolved Pokémon like Dubwool, Greedent, Blastoise, Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon, or Gengar can still effectively overcome Machop with their superior stats.

Prepare your best Dynamax Pokémon and get ready to battle Machop during this limited-time Max Monday event!
