Flat2VR Studios has officially announced a virtual reality adaptation of Postal 2, the cult classic "trash shooter" that originally hit stores 22 years ago. The studio unveiled the project with a debut trailer, highlighting the game’s signature humor and chaotic gameplay mechanics.
The trailer follows the iconic protagonist, the Dude, as he embarks on mundane tasks, such as gathering signatures to support the development of Postal 2 VR. Later, the developers showcase some of the remake’s standout features, including a revamped shooting mechanism designed specifically for VR controllers, an enhanced user interface, and a refreshed mini-map system.
A dedicated Steam page for Postal 2: VR is now live, featuring screenshots, system requirements, and further details. To run the PC version, players will require at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM. Unfortunately, Russian voiceovers won’t be included, although subtitles will be available.
Despite the modern enhancements, the essence of the original experience remains intact. Players will still undertake everyday activities like grocery shopping and returning library books, but they’ll always have the option to abandon convention and dive headfirst into chaos.
Postal 2 VR will be launching on SteamVR, PS VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3.
