EA's Battlefield Studios Unveils Battlefield Labs: Your Chance to Shape the Next Battlefield
EA has launched Battlefield Labs, offering players a unique opportunity to influence the development of the next Battlefield game. This isn't your typical beta; it's an exclusive program providing early access and hands-on experience.
What is Battlefield Labs?
Battlefield Labs is a program designed to gather crucial player feedback. Selected participants will get early access to in-development gameplay, allowing them to test unfinished content and provide direct input to the developers at EA's Battlefield Studios. Initially, a few thousand players in Europe and North America will be chosen, with expansion to other regions and a larger player base planned. The program will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Battlefield Labs vs. Beta Testing:
Unlike traditional betas, Battlefield Labs offers access to highly unfinished game content. Expect more bugs, rough edges, and technical issues than in a typical beta. The focus is on gathering feedback on core gameplay elements like combat, map design, and balance. Participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and cannot publicly share information.
How to Sign Up:
- Visit the Battlefield Labs webpage.
- Log in or create an EA account and link it to your preferred gaming platform. Be aware of potential queues; you'll have a 15-minute window to access the site once your turn arrives.
- Complete the registration form and provide your email address.
- Regularly check your email for updates and playtest invitations from the official Battlefield Labs newsletter.
The next Battlefield game is slated for release in EA's fiscal year 2026 (before April 1, 2026). Battlefield Labs offers a chance to be part of its creation.
