Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to hype up the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The event showcased the exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.
The festivities have already begun with a new update. This update includes bug fixes, a revamped main menu, performance improvements, and redesigned classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs. These updated houses are available immediately for new games, and accessible via the in-game library for existing saves.

The main anniversary celebration starts February 4th with an update delivering over 70 free items! Simultaneously, the "Blast from the Past" in-game event launches. Players can earn retro-themed items and a new collectible set by completing simple challenges.
Furthermore, a new season, "Motherlode," begins February 6th. EA remains tight-lipped about the season's specific content for now.
