Rumors about Starfield's potential PlayStation 5 release gained traction over the weekend when fans noticed a PlayStation logo on Bethesda's official Creations website.
The logo appeared on an unfinished ship decal creation for Starfield. Although the content was later removed, players speculate Bethesda's sci-fi title—currently exclusive to PC and Xbox—may soon launch on PS5.

This discovery raises questions about whether Bethesda might pair a potential PS5 launch with substantial new content or expansion packs. Since the underwhelming Shattered Space DLC, Starfield updates have been scarce. Microsoft—Bethesda's parent company—typically hosts summer showcases, potentially offering an ideal platform to announce Starfield's multiplatform future.
Bethesda confirmed plans for "exciting updates" this year amid player frustration over communication gaps. In June 2024, the studio reaffirmed commitment to Starfield, announcing another story expansion post-Shattered Space. Todd Howard told YouTube's MrMattyPlays that annual expansions might continue for "years to come."
