Urban Legend Hunters 2: Double mixes live-action with virtual worlds, coming soon

Playism's upcoming release, Urban Legend Hunters 2: Double, offers a unique blend of FMV and augmented reality gameplay. Players step into the shoes of an outsider investigating the disappearance of a missing YouTuber specializing in urban legends.

The game features a cast of characters – Rain, Shou, and Tangtang – who claim to be part of the missing YouTuber's crew. The mystery revolves around the legend of the double, or doppelganger, where one person replaces another undetected.

Urban Legend Hunters 2: Double innovatively combines FMV sequences with AR investigation. Using your phone's camera, you explore 3D environments with FMV footage superimposed, creating a visually unusual yet creative experience.

While the game's concept is undeniably intriguing, expectations for a deep psychological thriller should be tempered. However, the inherent cheesiness often associated with FMV horror might be precisely what makes this title appealing. Though a precise release date is yet to be announced (beyond a "this winter" timeframe), Urban Legend Hunters 2: Double is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
