"World of Warcraft Launches 2025 Six-Month Subscription"

Summary

  • New 6-month WoW subscription rewards include the Timbered Sky Snake mount and Timbered Air Snakelet pet.
  • Subscribers receive the rewards by January 31, 2025, and must redeem before 2026.
  • 12-month subscribers get additional mounts and pets.

World of Warcraft has unveiled exciting new in-game items for players who opt for a six-month subscription: the Timbered Sky Snake mount for modern WoW and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Classic. These items, inspired by the 2025 Zodiac Sign, are available to those who purchase or are already on a bulk subscription, with rewards distributed by January 31, 2025.

Since 2018, World of Warcraft has rewarded fans with bonus in-game incentives for choosing longer subscription periods. These rewards often align with the lunar Zodiac signs and are refreshed in January and July. For example, the 2024 Year of the Wood Dragon brought the Auspicious Arborwyrm.

The latest six-month subscription offer for 2025 features the Timbered Sky Snake, a flying mount for retail WoW symbolizing the Year of the Wood Snake, and the Timbered Air Snakelet, a matching pet for Cataclysm Classic. These can be obtained by purchasing a six-month subscription, or individually from the in-game store for $25 and $10, respectively. The Timbered Sky Snakelet, the matching pet for modern WoW, is also available for $10 on the Battle.net shop but isn't part of the subscription offer.

January 2025 Six-Month WoW Subscription Offer

  • Timbered Sky Snake skyriding mount for World of Warcraft: The War Within
  • Timbered Air Snakelet, a small version of the mount, as a pet for Cataclysm Classic

Players currently on a recurring subscription will also receive these rewards. Both items will be credited to qualifying Battle.net accounts no later than January 31, 2025, and must be redeemed before the same date in 2026, when they will likely be replaced with items themed around the Year of the Fire Horse.

Additionally, those who choose a 12-month subscription will receive the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts for modern WoW, as well as the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet for Classic. These subscribers will also get the July six-month subscription offer, making it a great deal for mount enthusiasts.

Looking ahead to 2025, retail WoW is set to receive two major updates starting with Patch 11.1, and there's even a chance for player housing by year's end. For Classic, progression servers will advance to Mists of Pandaria, new anniversary realms will cover from vanilla through The Burning Crusade, and Season of Discovery will reach its final phase. With such expansive plans across all World of Warcraft versions, securing a bulk subscription now is a smart move.
