Tripwire's Bluesky post cited concerns about performance, stability, user interface, lighting, and weapon feel as key areas needing improvement. The developer acknowledged falling short of expectations and emphasized their commitment to delivering a game that stays true to the core Killing Floor experience.
Player reactions to the beta were harsh, with many criticizing the game's clunkiness, glitches, and departure from the series' established horror elements in favor of a more futuristic setting. Criticism also targeted the character/class locking system in the beta. Tripwire reassured fans that the delay will allow them to address these issues and promised to provide updates as they become available.
Pre-Order Refunds
Tripwire's Senior Community Manager, Yoshiro, detailed the refund process for pre-orders. PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games Store pre-orders will be automatically canceled and refunded. US PlayStation users will have the option to keep their pre-order or request a refund. Steam pre-orders require manual refunds through Steam support. Refunds for other platforms will be handled according to each platform's policies.
