The heat is on in Marvel Snap, with Surtur and his fiery crew from Muspelheim adding a scorching twist to the card battler. A recent update, released just a few weeks ago, has brought an array of fresh content, including new characters and locations. Amidst this excitement, the return of a fan-favorite event has been announced, and it's now live for players to enjoy.
Deadpool’s Diner is making a comeback in Marvel Snap, and you can dive into the action until December 3rd. If you're new to this mode, get ready to tackle a series of increasingly challenging tasks, betting your Bubs at each table to climb the ranks. Winning at a table propels you to the next, where the stakes (and steaks) are higher. Reach the top tier, and you'll be rewarded with King Eitri and an exclusive Jane Foster variant illustrated by Andrea Guardino. Since this mode operates outside the usual ladder matches, it's a perfect, low-pressure way to experiment and enjoy some unique mechanics.
Alongside the return of Deadpool’s Diner, the update also introduced Surtur, the fire giant and harbinger of Ragnarok. Surtur's card comes with a powerful ability: whenever you play a card with 10 or more Power, he gains +3 Power. Building a deck around this skill promises explosive gameplay.
Surtur isn't alone in his quest to conquer the Nine Realms. He's joined by a lineup of new Series 5 characters, including Frigga, Malekith, Fenris Wolf, and Gorr the God Butcher. In addition to new cards, two new locations, Valhalla and Yggdrasil, have been added to keep the Norse theme alive. Valhalla repeats On Reveal abilities after turn 4, while Yggdrasil boosts all cards at a different location by +1 Power after each turn.
