Diamond Dreams Soft Launch in Malaysia This Weekend

by Allison May 07,2025

Frequent readers may recall that a few weeks ago, we covered the upcoming luxury match-three game, Diamond Dreams. Developed by GFAL (Games for a Living), this intriguing twist on the classic format is now gearing up to transition from beta to a soft launch, scheduled for this weekend in Malaysia.

So, what exactly is a luxury match-three game? Essentially, it encapsulates everything you'd expect from the genre, but with a much more extravagant flair. The gems you match and clear are displayed in dazzling, high-resolution detail, and as you progress through levels, you earn diamonds. These diamonds can then be used to craft virtual jewelry, crafted by the same artist behind the jewels in the opening sequence of the acclaimed series, The Crown.

As noted by our editor, Dann Sullivan, in his preview of GFAL's match-three puzzler, Diamond Dreams' most compelling feature is its ability to stand out from the crowd. This distinction comes from its lush, high-quality visuals, elegant font, and a minimalist menu style that sets it apart aesthetically.

While this feature adds an interesting layer, it's unlikely to be the primary draw for a broader audience. Instead, the game's potential to attract players lies in its blend of challenging gameplay and a luxurious aesthetic that makes it truly distinctive.

If you're in Malaysia and eager to dive into this experience, keep an eye out for Diamond Dreams, set to hit soft launch over the weekend, pending app review. Note that the beta version of the app will cease to function as of today.
