"Dreadmoor: New PC Game Blends Fishing with Post-Apocalyptic Mystery"

by Riley May 01,2025

Developer Dream Dock has unveiled Dreadmoor, an exciting new first-person, single-player action-adventure game inspired by the 2023 hit Dredge. In Dreadmoor, players will take the helm of a fishing trawler to navigate the haunting waters of the post-apocalyptic Drownlands. The game is currently in development for PC, and fans can get a sneak peek through the announcement trailer and the first screenshots showcased in the gallery below.

Dream Dock describes Dreadmoor as a thrilling journey into a world transformed by a global nuclear war, where continents have vanished beneath the waves, leaving behind a landscape of scattered islands and the submerged ruins of ancient civilizations. Players will engage in fishing, selling their catch to survivors, and completing quests to inch closer to survival. The game adds an intriguing layer of strategy with the need to monitor the ship's cargo hold, where creatures might devour each other. To delve deeper into the mysteries of the Drownlands, players can upgrade their ship and craft equipment, enabling them to explore hidden depths and secret locations. The game promises encounters with mutated creatures and sinister mysteries lurking in the deep waters and abandoned structures, especially at night. Players must also be wary of radiation, which adds another layer of danger to their adventures.
