In Limbus Company, the levels of your Sinners significantly influence their combat effectiveness. Just like in other RPGs, leveling up your team is essential for progressing through the game and tackling challenging content. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against enemies if they're underleveled. For newcomers, here's a concise guide on the best ways to earn XP for your characters.

With games like Ananta and Neverness To Everness on the horizon, the desire for a stylish anime game without gacha mechanics is strong. While HoYoVerse games satisfy my gacha cravings, a triple-A experience akin to these titles, free from RNG monetization, would be a welcome addition.

Combat and Grinding --------------------

For new players, the primary method to earn XP is through combat. All Sinners on your team will gain XP after successfully clearing a combat encounter, with those who participated earning more XP than those who didn't. However, this process can be slow, especially as battles get tougher. You'll need to find more efficient ways to level up.

Once you reach the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock Luxcavation mode. This mode allows you to challenge specific enemies for various rewards. While the fights offer decent XP, the real advantage comes from the consumable items you can acquire, which are crucial for leveling up.

Using Consumable Items

To avoid the grind of manually earning XP, you can use Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets. These consumables are designed to help level up your characters and come in different rarities.

Identity Training Tickets

Identity Training Tickets provide a fixed amount of XP to an Identity, similar to level-up materials in games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. They significantly reduce the XP grind, though you'll need a substantial number to max out a single character. These tickets are available in four tiers, each offering more XP than the last:

  • Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP

You can obtain these tickets by farming EXP Luxcavation stages, as well as through the free and paid Limbus Passes and periodic attendance check events.

Level Boost Tickets

Level Boost Tickets instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. These are highly valuable due to their rarity and function as leveling shortcuts. They are primarily obtained through the Limbus Pass and sometimes during attendance check events, but cannot be farmed. Different Level Boost Tickets will raise your characters to the following levels:

  • Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
  • Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
  • Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
  • Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40

Currently, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. Strategically using both Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets can help you level up multiple characters efficiently.

To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
