Feral Interactive Launches Major Imperium Update for Rome: Total War

by Mila Mar 29,2025

Feral Interactive, renowned for their expertise in mobile porting, has significantly enhanced the mobile version of Creative Assembly's acclaimed real-time strategy and empire-building game, Rome: Total War, with the Imperium Edition update. This major overhaul introduces a host of new mechanics, quality-of-life improvements, and, notably, support for mouse and keyboard, offering players on Android and iOS unprecedented tactical control.

While some of these updates mirror features from the PC remaster of Total War: Rome, they are far from being criticized. Instead, these enhancements, including Positioning Mode, Melee Mode, and Automatic Deselection, borrowed from the Medieval II port, are particularly beneficial for seasoned players.

Perhaps the most exciting addition for many is the introduction of keyboard and mouse support. Players on Android or iOS can now leverage their desktop controls, making the experience of playing the original Rome: Total War more immersive and engaging.

The Imperium update is available now, and alongside these major features, it includes various other quality-of-life, gameplay, and additional improvements.
