Epic Games has unveiled the exciting new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season, titled "Wanted." This season promises a thrilling heist theme, complete with gun-toting villains, gold-filled vans, and explosive bank vaults, setting the stage for an action-packed experience. The season is set to kick off on February 21, and it will feature a special collaboration with the iconic fighting franchise, Mortal Kombat. Fans can look forward to seeing Sub-Zero as part of the Battle Pass, perfectly aligning with the heist theme.

This collaboration is timed to coincide with the promotion of the upcoming film, Mortal Kombat 2, which stars Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana. Players will be able to purchase the new skins using V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency, with each character priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, maintaining the standard pricing from previous seasons.

The return of familiar weapons such as the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret has been confirmed, though other weapons remain unconfirmed at this point. Speculation is rife among the community, with many hoping to see the return of items like the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, the Tommy Gun, and the Grappler, reminiscent of the previous heist-themed season, Chapter 4 Season 4. However, these are currently just rumors.

A standout feature of the new season is the introduction of Smart Building, an innovative mechanic that predicts the structure you need based on your aim direction, enhancing the gameplay experience. Additionally, the heist theme introduces a revamped gameplay mechanic, replacing keycards with vault breaches. Players will now use Meltanite, Fortnite's equivalent of thermite, to crack open vaults and secure their rewards, adding a new layer of strategy and excitement to the game.
