"Guide to Obtaining and Fixing Shoes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2"

by Charlotte May 25,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, your shoes will inevitably wear out, leaving you to wander barefoot unless you find a way to acquire new ones or repair the old. Here's how you can ensure you always have a comfortable pair on your feet.

How to Get Shoes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

While you start with a pair of shoes, you won't need to stick with them throughout the game. There are several methods to obtain new shoes. You can discover them in chests or loot them from poachers and other human enemies. If you prefer a more legal approach, you can purchase them.

Tailors, such as the one in Troskowitz, sell shoes, but these typically don't offer impressive stats. For better quality, head to a cobbler. You can find a cobbler as early as Trosky; their symbol on the map looks like three red pieces in a circle, as shown below.

When visiting a cobbler, you'll encounter a variety of items for sale, not just shoes. Cobbler Matthew, for instance, also sells horse-related items. Additionally, you can purchase materials, Blacksmith's Kits, and Cobbler's Kits from him.

How to Repair Shoes

Just like acquiring new shoes, you have multiple options for repairing your existing ones. You can have them fixed by cobblers or blacksmiths by selecting the repair option during your conversation with them. A menu will then appear where you can choose which items to repair and view the associated costs. These costs can vary if you've invested in the Craftsmanship skill, which offers percentage discounts on NPC repairs for all your gear, including shoes and armor.

Alternatively, you can repair your shoes yourself, though this depends on your Craftsmanship level. If your skill isn't high enough, you won't be able to fix your shoes or other equipment. To repair your own shoes, you'll need a Cobbler's Kit.

Cobbler's Kits are available from various vendors, including cobblers and blacksmiths. You might also find them in chests or by looting NPCs. To use a Cobbler's Kit, navigate to your inventory, select the kit, and press the interact button ("E" on PC). This opens a menu displaying damaged items that can be repaired. If an item appears faded, your skill level isn't sufficient to repair it. Otherwise, select the items you wish to repair and press the interact button again to mend them.

This guide covers how to get and repair shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For other gear repairs, use the Blacksmith's Kit similarly. It's always wise to keep your gear in good condition, so don't hesitate to seek out a vendor for repairs when needed.
