NBA 2K25 Releases First 2025 Update

NBA 2K25's substantial January update paves the way for Season 4 (launching January 10th), boasting visual enhancements and gameplay refinements. This Patch 4.0 addresses numerous issues across various game modes.

Key improvements include enhanced player likenesses (Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and others), court corrections (Los Angeles Clippers logo, Emirates NBA Cup accuracy), and updated uniform sponsor patches for several teams. The update also tackles stability concerns in MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and MyNBA, ensuring smoother progression and preventing game-breaking bugs.

Gameplay Overhaul in Patch 4.0:

This update significantly enhances realism and player control. "Light Pressure" shot defense is now categorized into Weak, Moderate, and Strong, providing more nuanced shot feedback. Ball physics have been adjusted to reduce overly long rebounds, and defensive mechanics are tweaked to prevent unfair interruptions of skill dunks. The Offensive 3 Seconds rule is now enforced in 1v1 modes. Performance and stability improvements are also implemented in City and Pro-Am modes.

  • MyCAREER: Fixes address badge unlock issues and prevent skipped NBA Cup games during simulation.
  • MyTEAM: Visual updates to player cards and menus are included, along with fixes for saving Favorite Plays and challenge progression blockers.
