"Guide to Respecing in Avowed: Easy Steps"

by Ellie May 03,2025

Feeling stuck with your character's performance in *Avowed*? I totally understand! It's easy to start off with a class or attribute setup that you later regret. That's why I'm here to guide you through the process of respeccing and adjusting your stats in *Avowed*.

How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Want To)

At the beginning of any game, it's challenging to pinpoint the perfect character build that suits your playstyle. That's where respeccing becomes invaluable. If you're not enjoying your current setup, consider respeccing. In *Avowed*, I initially went all-in on a wizard, but after getting overwhelmed, I switched to a more balanced spellsword. As you progress, you might want to respec to optimize your combat effectiveness and achieve your ideal build.

How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed

To respec in *Avowed*, open the menu and head to the "Abilities" section. At the bottom, you'll find the "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you continue playing. Confirm the action, pay the cost, and all your ability points will be reset across the skill trees, except for the "Godlike" abilities, which are fixed and earned through in-game choices.

How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed

If you're satisfied with your abilities but not your attributes, or if you're looking to overhaul everything, head to the "Character" section in the menu. At the bottom, you'll find a button to respec your attributes, also starting at a cost of 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases over time. Press the button, pay the fee, and reclaim your Attribute points to redistribute as you see fit.

How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

To respec your companion, navigate to the "Abilities" section in the menu, then to the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll see an icon and a button to respec, which requires Copper Skeyt. Click the button, confirm your choice, and you'll regain all of your companion's points. Remember, each companion must be respecced individually.

And there you have it! That's how you can respec in *Avowed* to fine-tune your character and companions to your heart's content.

*Avowed is available now.*
