Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what seem to be Hara-Kiri animations, a feature first introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deception back in 2004, where the defeated player performs a self-Fatality.

The discovery is particularly intriguing because InfiniteNightZ found these animations for recently added DLC characters like Ghostface, suggesting that NetherRealm Studios might be planning to integrate them into Mortal Kombat 1 in an upcoming update. "After seeing that they're adding it to the downloaded roster now, I think it's highly possible," InfiniteNightZ commented.
Furthermore, InfiniteNightZ pointed out that these Hara-Kiri animations are labeled as Quitalities within the game's code. Quitalities are quick finishers that activate when a player quits a multiplayer match, a feature seen in previous Mortal Kombat titles. "They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope," InfiniteNightZ added optimistically.
