KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Shuts Down - Offline Version Coming?

It's the third consecutive day that I'm covering the end-of-service (EOS) of another game, and this time it's KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, which has now officially concluded its run. Today, January 30th, marks the game's final day, with servers preparing for shutdown. So, what's next?

How Long Did This One Last?

Developed by Sumzap and initially published by Nexon before transitioning to Sesisoft, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was indeed a great game. However, its run was relatively short-lived. The global servers managed to stay active for 3.5 years, while the Japanese servers lasted a commendable 5 years. For an anime-based gacha game, this duration is quite respectable, especially considering the revenue had been declining for some time.

The developers have shifted their focus to the new Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game. They kept KonoSuba: Fantastic Days alive until the very end, providing voiced story updates and even releasing a final song just three weeks ago. They also organized a farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor. The Japanese version went the extra mile by archiving the entire main story on their YouTube channel, allowing players to relive Kazuma and his quirky team's adventures at any time. Additionally, an offline version was released, giving players access to the game's story, voicelines, and character collection.

Unfortunately, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global won't have an offline version or a dedicated YouTube channel. However, fans can still visit the Japanese YouTube channel to spend more time with Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the crew.

That concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next news piece on Karrablast and Shelmet during the February Community Day of Pokémon Go.
