Marvel has plans for Moon Knight's return to the MCU, but a Season 2 isn't currently in the works. Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum told ComicBook that while a second season isn't happening, fans can expect more of Oscar Isaac's character in future MCU projects.
This shift is due to a change in Marvel Television's strategy. Previously, the focus was on establishing characters through standalone shows before integrating them into larger MCU narratives (like Ms. Marvel's introduction before The Marvels). Now, the approach is geared towards creating self-contained, annually-released series, more akin to traditional television.
Winderbaum stated, "I think Marvel Television has happened in waves, and I think Moon Knight happened in a wave of shows that were going to establish characters that would tie-in to the future…moving forward our priorities have shifted. We’re making shows as shows that can exist as annual releases, more like television. I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.”
While Isaac voiced Moon Knight in Marvel's What If...?, his live-action return remains unannounced.
The MCU's upcoming TV slate includes Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December). Recently, Marvel Television reportedly paused production on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc., but Winderbaum confirmed they are exploring the possibility of a Defenders reunion, featuring Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.
