NetherRealm and WB Games have just released the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, set to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character stands out with his unique ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively dodge projectiles. Fans of Kabal will find T-1000 particularly appealing, as he incorporates some of Kabal's signature weapons and moves, despite Kabal not being part of the game.

The trailer pays homage to the iconic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day with several references. One notable scene recreates the moment where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture famously banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike. Additionally, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, asking if he has seen John Connor, further embedding the character into the lore of the film.

Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will also be added to Mortal Kombat 1. T-1000's Fatality showcases his liquid metal capabilities, as he changes his appearance and replaces his victim, demonstrating an efficient method for the machine to fulfill its mission.

No further announcements were made by WB Games, though rumors are circulating that this might be the final wave of new content for Mortal Kombat 1. Speculation suggests that a new game announcement could be on the horizon, but there has been no official confirmation of this yet.
