Monopoly drops a new Valentine’s Day themed update with new house rules and a quiz

With Valentine's Day on the horizon, Marmalade Game Studio and Hasbro have unveiled an exciting update for Monopoly on Android and iOS. Dive into the spirit of love with a range of limited-time features that enhance your favorite digital board game experience.

Monopoly's Valentine's Day event introduces a fun quiz that matches you with one of four unique Monopoly tokens, each symbolizing a different form of love. After matching, you can enjoy a 24-hour free trial with your chosen token. If you decide to keep it, the token will be available at a special discounted price.

The update also includes a revamped House Rules event, designed to speed up the game. With Quick Hotels, you can build three houses instead of four, while Quick End concludes the game after the first bankruptcy. Quick Jail lets you leave jail on your first turn, and Starting Title Deeds grants each player three random properties at the start. Additionally, you'll bypass tax, Chance, and Community Chest spaces for a more dynamic gameplay experience.

To add to the festive atmosphere, a new set of Cupid-inspired tokens will be available, along with the Sweethearts bundle featuring two cherubic figures ready to join the board this Valentine's Day.

Radu Rovin, Head of Studio at Marmalade Game Studio, shared his thoughts on the update: "We wanted to put together an event that showcases different types of love this Valentine's Day. From friendships forged across the Monopoly board to a little self-care day playing your favorite game, we're helping our players celebrate it all."
