Leaked Gameplay Footage Surfaces for EA's Next Battlefield Game
Early gameplay footage of EA's upcoming Battlefield title has emerged online following a closed playtest. As reported by TheGamer, a Twitch streamer, anto_merguezz, seemingly streamed footage from EA's Battlefield Labs playtest. While no clips remain on the streamer's page, recordings from the stream have circulated online, primarily via Reddit.
The leaked footage seemingly confirms the "modern" setting previously hinted at by Vince Zampella, setting it apart from other Battlefield games with historical or futuristic settings. The footage showcases firefights and highlights the game's destructible environments. Initial fan reaction appears positive, a welcome contrast to the lukewarm reception of Battlefield 2042's launch.Last month's official unveiling revealed details about the next Battlefield installment, including the return of a traditional, linear single-player campaign—a feature notably absent in Battlefield 2042, much to the disappointment of many players.
EA currently anticipates launching the new Battlefield game in fiscal year 2026 (between April 2025 and March 2026). With the launch approaching, we can likely expect more official reveals soon. Given the current leak, however, it seems containing further unauthorized disclosures may prove challenging for EA.
