Sony has unveiled the PC specifications for The Last of Us Part II Remastered ahead of its April 3 release, along with details on PSN sign-in incentives and new content for No Return Mode on both PC and PlayStation 5.
In a recent PlayStation Blog post, developer Naughty Dog detailed the enhancements brought to the PC version by support studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy, which follows the game's debut on the PlayStation 5.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:
- Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution support
- AMD FSR 3.1 and AMD FSR 4 support, including upscaling and frame generation
- VSync and framerate cap options, with an uncapped framerate available
- DirectStorage support
- Customizable settings such as Texture Quality, LOD Distance Range, Volumetric Quality, Shadow Quality, Ambient Occlusion, and Reflections Quality
- Support for Ultrawide monitors, allowing for 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and 48:9 resolutions, compatible with triple-monitor setups
- 4K resolution gameplay
- Support for various controllers, as well as keyboard and mouse with extensive control customization options, including full remapping and adaptive mode for combining keyboard and controller inputs
- 3D audio and full haptic feedback for DualSense controllers
Sony emphasized that The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a range of graphics settings and presets to cater to a wide array of hardware, from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices.

No Return Mode Updates:
Two new characters, Bill and Marlene from The Last of Us Part I, are being introduced to No Return Mode. Bill, with a "Smuggler" playstyle, can access a custom pump shotgun and earns double rewards from drops, though he can't dodge and is stronger against melee attacks. Marlene, adopting a "Risk Taker" playstyle, comes with a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.

Additionally, four new maps are set to enhance No Return Mode:
- Overlook: Set high above Seattle, featuring vertical gameplay and a Seraphites encounter.
- School: An abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina face the W.L.F.
- Streets: An overgrown neighborhood in Seattle's Hillcrest.
- Nest: A location familiar to those who played as Abby, filled with Infected.

All new content for No Return Mode, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free 2.0.0 patch.
PSN Sign-In Incentives:
While The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PC includes an optional PSN log-in, those who choose to sign in will gain access to PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies. Additionally, signing in offers 50 in-game points for bonus features and a new Ellie skin featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

PS5 players can also unlock the Jordan’s jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet:
Neil Druckmann, director of The Last of Us, shared insights into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a game that has been in development for four years. Set in an alternate historical timeline, the game explores themes of faith and religion, starring Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun.
HBO's The Last of Us Season 2:
The PC release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered coincides with anticipation for Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were omitted in Season 1.
