Supercell, the innovative Finnish developer, has recently made a surprising announcement. After confirming the shutdown of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've now revealed plans to revive it in an unexpected way through a new project called Project R.I.S.E.
So, Here's The Full Scoop! --------------------------
Clash Heroes has officially been discontinued, joining the likes of Clash Mini on the shelf. However, Supercell isn't leaving fans in the lurch. The game is being reincarnated as Project R.I.S.E., which will transform into a social action RPG roguelite set within the beloved Clash universe.
Supercell released an announcement video for Project R.I.S.E., where game lead Julien Le Cadre was candid. "Clash Heroes is dead. That's the bad news," he stated. "The good news is that Project R.I.S.E. is still a Clash game, and the better news is that it's now a multiplayer-focused action RPG."
As highlighted in the video, Project R.I.S.E. will retain elements of Clash Heroes but will be a distinct social action RPG roguelite, built from the ground up. In this new game, players will team up with two others to explore a mysterious location known as The Tower. Each session will take place on a different floor, challenging players to ascend as high as possible. Unlike its predecessor, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative play with various characters, moving away from the solo PvE dungeons of Clash Heroes.
Currently in its pre-alpha phase, Project R.I.S.E. is gearing up for its first playtest scheduled for early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate in this early testing phase.
