Ubisoft has unveiled exciting new gameplay features for *Assassin's Creed: Shadows*, particularly focusing on the equipment and progression systems for the game's protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe. A highlight for fans is the enhanced functionality of the iconic Hidden Blade, which promises to be a thrilling addition to the gameplay experience.
Yasuke and Naoe will each have unique skill trees designed to complement their combat styles. Yasuke, with his samurai techniques, and Naoe, with her shinobi skills, offer players diverse ways to engage in battles. Players can allocate skill points to unlock additional weapon-specific abilities or refine their fighting techniques. Earning these points is tied to completing open-world objectives or defeating formidable foes such as the Daisyo samurai.
To maintain balanced growth, both characters will progress at an even pace, ensuring neither one lags behind the other. Unlocking powerful abilities involves specific actions like tracking down a mysterious shinobi group. Other upgrades are linked to the "Knowledge" scale, which players can advance by studying manuscripts or praying at shrines. Reaching the sixth Knowledge rank unlocks a new skill tree, adding depth to the progression system.
Ubisoft also detailed the equipment system, which categorizes items into five quality tiers: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Players can upgrade their gear at a blacksmith and customize its appearance. Special perks on armor and weapons can significantly alter gameplay dynamics, offering strategic advantages.
The Hidden Blade remains a central element, capable of delivering instant kills with a single strike, emphasizing its role as the ultimate tool for stealth and assassination.
*Assassin's Creed: Shadows* is set to launch globally on March 20 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, promising an engaging and immersive experience for fans of the franchise.
