Remedy Entertainment's annual report reveals significant progress across its development pipeline. Control 2 has cleared the crucial concept validation phase and entered full production, signaling a major step forward for the project.
Alongside Control 2, two other titles are actively under development: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. These projects, previously in pre-production a year ago, have now advanced to the next development stage. However, the Tencent collaboration, Project Kestrel, has been cancelled, as announced last May.
All current projects leverage Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, proven successful in titles like Alan Wake 2 and other studio releases.
Budget-wise, Control 2, a self-published title slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, carries an estimated 50 million euro budget. FBC: Firebreak, with a more modest 30 million euro budget, will launch on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services, alongside Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, Rockstar Games is fully funding their development and marketing, confirming their AAA status.
