Application Description

-Prologue-
You are the most skilled hunter in your village. You journeyed to a forest near the royal capital, drawn by the promise of a tournament to crown the nation's best hunter. Full of enthusiasm, you ventured into the forest on the eve of the tournament's opening ceremony. After your first night camping, you awoke to an eerie silence. The campsite, once bustling with hunters from across the country, was deserted, leaving behind only remnants of their presence. The national guards, responsible for overseeing the tournament, were nowhere to be found. As you waited, hoping for someone to return, the unease grew until you could no longer stay put. You started walking, only to encounter another oddity—a tree with peculiar branches you were certain you had seen before. Despite your confidence in your sense of direction, you found yourself back where you started. Lost in the forest, a situation unheard of for a hunter of your caliber, you realized something strange was afoot. Whether you stayed or moved, the situation remained the same. Suppressing panic, you set out once more through the forest...

-What is "Elven Curse"?-
"Elven Curse" is a non-field RPG where you play as a hunter trying to escape a cursed forest, aided by a quarter-elf named Foria. With the exception of the base menu, gameplay is simplified to the use of up to three buttons for command selection.

-Character Creation-
While manual customization isn't available, you can reroll your stats as many times as you wish. The status increase rate upon leveling up is viewable only on this screen and cannot be checked once the game starts. During play, these stats become a return item. When you have fewer than two "talismans" and your life force reaches zero, your character is lost.

-Peddler Quarter Elf "Foria"-
Foria is a mysterious figure you meet in the forest. Despite appearing as a child, he claims to be a quarter-elf and older than you. Uninvolved with the tournament's troubles, he uses the power of ancient forest spirits to secretly assist your escape.

-Scenario Scene-
The prologue unfolds like a picture-story show, smoothly transitioning to the main character's narrative. Foria's dialogue is delivered in a cheerful tone, set against a backdrop of quiet, simple, and somewhat suggestive language that shapes the game's world.

-Exploration Mode-
The forest's routes that connect the bases are unlocked by "exploring" all the "unexplored" areas in each section. The numerical outcomes of each exploration are influenced by the "fog depth" of the area and some of your status values. When your life force is depleted, use poison if necessary to restore your vitality. In some cases, using rare "talismans" might necessitate a return to Foria.

-Encounter with the Beast * Hunter Battle-
Ferocious beasts roam the forest, from wild dogs and wolves to unexpected attackers like frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields hides that can be traded with Foria. Note that, unlike traditional RPGs, there's no leveling up through battle! The aim is to escape the cursed forest. There are no fixed battles with mid-bosses or final bosses, and all encounters can be avoided, though this may require significant luck or playtime. As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow to kill prey, but you must maintain a suitable distance to shoot. At this distance, you can attack without receiving a counterattack from the beast, though they may close the gap. If far from the beast, you can shoot arrows, use healing items, or avoid battle to continue exploring. If the beast closes in, you face a one-sided attack with two options: "withdrawal" to maintain distance or using Foria's "flash" ball to escape. The latter is certain, while the former's success depends on the difference in ability.

-Cloak * Layering System-
The cloak Foria crafts from the materials you bring—branch arrows, resin, and leather—enhances the wearer's abilities. Lightweight and thin, it can be layered up to three times, with the total ability increase being the sum of all layers. Rarely, it can also restore your vitality. Be aware that the topmost layer may be damaged by various factors, eventually tearing and becoming unusable. This cloak is the game's only equipment change element; there are no variations to the bow and arrow.

-About Autosave-
The game features an autosave system, though the timing can be unpredictable (for example, it does not save during battles). To ensure the preservation of your progress, we recommend manually closing the app from the base menu.
