Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely revamping its core map. Gone are the four lanes; in their place is a more traditional MOBA-style three-lane design. This fundamental shift will dramatically alter gameplay. Previously, a common strategy involved a "1 vs 2" lane distribution. Now, with two heroes likely per lane, teams must adapt their resource allocation and strategic approaches.

The map redesign extends beyond the lane count, impacting the positioning of neutral camps, buffs, and other key map elements. To ease the transition, a new "map exploration" mode has been added, letting players freely explore the revised layout without the pressure of combat.
This update also refines the Soul Orb system. Players can now collect souls even without directly securing the kill, accelerating resource acquisition. Further adjustments to soul effects include reduced air-hover times.
Beyond the map and Soul Orbs, the patch includes sprint mechanic refinements, character balance tweaks, and enhanced performance. Support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 has also been added. Numerous bug fixes round out this substantial update. For a comprehensive list of changes, consult the official patch notes.
